Takashi Murakami’s solo exhibition “Seoul, Kawaii Summer Vacation” is presented by Gagosian at APMA Cabinet, Amorepacific Headquarters in Seoul from Sep 2 – Oct 11, 2025. Marking the artist’s first Seoul solo presentation in over a decade following his 2013 show at Samsung Museum of Art PLATEAU and the major retrospective “MurakamiZombie” at the Busan Museum of Art, this exhibition explores Murakami’s iconic floral motifs across new paintings and sculptures. Drawing on his “Superflat” aesthetic—merging traditional nihonga influences with contemporary pop imagery—the works range from vibrant, joy-infused blooms to pieces that subtly reflect on consumer culture and visual perception.

다카시 무라카미 개인전 《Seoul, Kawaii Summer Vacation》는 가고시안이 주최하여 아모레퍼시픽 본사 1층 APMA 캐비닛에서 2025년 9월 2일부터 10월 11일까지 진행된다. 이번 전시는 무라카미의 대표적 도상인 ‘활짝 웃는 꽃’ 모티프를 중심으로 한 회화와 조각을 선보이며, 일본 전통 니혼가에서 영감을 받은 시각 체계와 애니메이션·만화 문화가 결합된 ‘슈퍼플랫’ 미학을 통해 현대 시각문화의 다층적 관계를 탐색한다. 회화와 조각 작품은 눈부신 색채와 상징적 형상이 결합하여 즐거움과 비평적 관점을 동시에 드러낸다.
