Jaerok Jang’s solo exhibition “Another landscape” is presented at UM Gallery from May 29 – Aug 31, 2019. In this exhibition, the artist expands traditional ink painting techniques into contemporary expressions by exploring landscapes through washes, bleeds, and organic forms that intertwine tradition and modernity. Drawing from his early series and introducing new motifs found in everyday surroundings, Jang challenges conventional views of landscape painting to reveal the layered visual language of desire, presence, and reflection.

장재록 개인전 《Another landscape》는 유엠갤러리에서 2019년 5월 29일부터 8월 31일까지 진행된다. 전통 산수화의 번짐과 스밈에 기반한 자유로운 표현을 통해 현대 사회와 자연 풍경의 관계를 탐색한다. 장재록은 초기 시리즈 ‘Another Landscape’로부터 출발하여 동양화적 표현의 기반 위에 현대적 소재를 결합함으로써 수묵화에 대한 새로운 시각을 제시한다. 그의 작품은 전통과 현대적 감각이 교차하는 화면 속에서 관객이 새로운 풍경과 이미지의 질서를 체험하도록 이끈다.
