김유준은 홍익대학교 서양화과를 졸업한 후 동 대학원에서 석사를 수료했다. 다수의 개인전과 단체전을 통해 왕성한 작가 활동을 이어가며, 한국적인 색감과 자연 친화적 소재로 자연과 인간의 상생을 조형화해 오고 있다.

주된 안료는 아크릴로, 임파스토 효과를 위해 금분, 금강사, 규사 등을 바인더와 함께 혼합해 사용한다. 이를 반복적으로 중첩하고 말리며 누적해 화면의 긴장감과 밀도를 구축한다. 해와 달, 돌, 별, 소나무, 산, 구름 등을 주요 소재로 한 그의 작업은 원색 위주의 밝고 에너지 넘치는 화풍이 특징이다.

자연 풍경과 대상을 단순화한 형태, 민화적인 구도, 색채 대비 효과를 통해 표현하며, 원시미술이나 큐비즘에서 볼 수 있는 입체적 평면성과 좌우 대칭의 균형 잡힌 구성은 관객에게 안정감을 준다. 표갤러리, KIAF, 화랑미술제, 예술의전당, 국공립 미술관과 일본 후쿠오카미술관 등 국내외 전시에 참여했으며, 작품은 삼성SDS 미주법인, 서울대학교병원, 코엑스 인터컨티넨탈, 홍익대학교 현대미술관 등에 소장되어 있다. 매년 빠짐없이 개인전을 열 만큼 왕성한 활동을 이어가고 있다.

Kim Yujun graduated from the Department of Western Painting at Hongik University and completed his master’s coursework at the same institution. Through numerous solo and group exhibitions, he has remained an active artist, shaping visual expressions of coexistence between nature and humanity through Korean sensibilities and nature-inspired motifs.

Working primarily with acrylics, he mixes materials such as gold powder, silicon carbide, and silica sand with binders to create impasto effects. By layering, drying, and accumulating these materials, he builds dense surfaces charged with tension. His works, featuring suns and moons, stones, stars, pine trees, mountains, and clouds, are characterized by vivid primary colors and a bright, energetic painterly style.

Simplified forms of natural landscapes, folk-painting-like compositions, and strong color contrasts define his visual language. Influences reminiscent of primitive art and Cubism—such as sculptural flatness, simple vertical and horizontal divisions centered on the canvas, and overall bilateral symmetry—offer viewers a sense of balance and stability. He has participated in a wide range of exhibitions and art fairs in Korea and abroad, including Pyo Gallery, KIAF, Hwarang Art Fair, the Seoul Arts Center, major museums, and the Fukuoka Art Museum in Japan. His works are held in collections such as Samsung SDS America, Seoul National University Hospital, COEX InterContinental, and the Hongik Museum of Contemporary Art, and he is known for holding a solo exhibition every year without exception.
