As autumn deepens, Inseori Park, a cultural landmark in the historic downtown area of Gwangyang, is gaining attention as a seasonal destination where art and relaxation come together. The city of Gwangyang introduces the park as a place where visitors can enjoy contemporary exhibitions while experiencing the charm of the old town.

Inseori Park is a cultural complex created by renovating traditional Korean houses and old warehouses. Featuring galleries, cafés, and accommodation facilities, the park preserves the atmosphere of the past through its stone walls, traditional stone well, and persimmon trees, offering visitors a peaceful setting for art and leisure.

At Banchango Gallery, artist Kim Sung-gyeol's solo exhibition “Vanished Faces” will be held through October 9. Rather than realistically depicting human faces, the exhibition explores individual existence and identity in contemporary society through blurred forms, erased expressions, and anonymous figures. Visitors are invited to project their own memories and emotions onto the figures, discovering meanings that lie beyond familiar appearances.

With vivid colors and expressive compositions, the works move beyond the traditional role of portraiture to raise questions about existence, memory, and human relationships. The paintings, accompanied by the soft autumn light entering the gallery, create an immersive atmosphere for visitors.

Inseori Park also serves as a central destination within Gwangyang's cultural district, connecting Inseori Art Alley with Gwangyang Art Warehouse, Jeonnam Museum of Art, and Gwangyang History and Culture Museum. Walking through the historic streets, visitors can encounter the stories, architecture, and artistic spaces that define the character of the old town.

The park will remain open throughout the Chuseok holiday, offering exhibitions, cultural activities, and café services without interruption. Lee Hyun-ju, Director of Gwangyang's Tourism Division, expressed hope that visitors would enjoy a relaxing autumn experience where art, history, and everyday life naturally come together.
