Since its opening, Inseori Park has established itself as a cultural platform that introduces the flow of contemporary art through exhibitions spanning a wide range of genres. This exhibition brings together masters who have shaped the course of modern and contemporary Korean art alongside contemporary artists, offering a panoramic view of their works while exploring the time and narratives that exist beyond each piece.

The exhibition features works by Lee Ufan, the founder of Mono-ha; Kim Tschang-Yeul, who built a distinctive artistic world through his water droplet paintings; Park Seo-Bo, a leading figure of Dansaekhwa; Yoon Myung-Ro, who expanded the language of abstract painting; and Chung Chang-Sup, who developed a formal language of Dansaekhwa through the materiality of hanji and repetitive, process-based actions.

In addition, works by emerging artists gaining attention in the contemporary art scene—such as Kwon Hyunji, Kim Miro, Jihee Kim, and Kim Hyungsoo—are presented alongside those of international artists including Jonathan Borofsky, Nobuo Segine, Mayuka Yamamoto, and Mads Christensen, creating a landscape of art that transcends generations and borders.

Viewed through the lens of a collector who has long observed and gathered the currents of modern and contemporary Korean art, the exhibition sheds light on the journeys through which masters are formed, revealing the hidden stories embedded within their works. The accumulated traces of time and choice within each piece offer visitors a deeper perspective on how to engage with art.

인서리공원은 개관 이후 다양한 장르의 전시를 통해 동시대 미술의 흐름을 소개하며, 예술을 매개로 한 문화 플랫폼으로 자리매김해왔다. 이번 전시는 한국 근현대 미술의 흐름을 만들어온 거장들과 동시대 작가들의 작업을 한자리에서 조망하며, 작품 너머에 존재하는 시간과 서사를 함께 살펴본다.

전시에는 모노화의 창시자 이우환, 물방울 회화로 독자적인 세계를 구축한 김창열, 단색화의 거장 박서보, 추상회화의 영역을 확장해온 윤명로, 그리고 한지의 물성과 반복적 행위를 통해 단색화의 조형 언어를 구축한 정창섭의 작품이 소개된다.

이와 함께 권현지, 김미로, 지희킴, 김형수 등 동시대 미술계에서 주목받는 젊은 작가들의 작품과, 조나단 브롭스키, 세기네 노부오, 마유카 야마모토, 메즈 크리스틴센 등 해외 작가들의 작업이 어우러지며 세대와 국경을 넘는 미술의 풍경을 완성한다.

이번 전시는 한국 근현대 미술의 흐름을 오랜 시간 지켜보고 수집해온 컬렉터의 시선을 통해, 거장이 탄생하기까지의 여정과 작품에 담긴 숨은 이야기를 조명한다. 작품 하나하나에 축적된 시간과 선택의 흔적은 관람객에게 미술을 바라보는 또 다른 깊이의 시선을 제안한다.
