Artist Jeong Jae-in, known for her warm, storybook-like aesthetic rooted in the soft textures of oil pastels, unveils a new collaborative edition project, 〈The Timeless Garden〉, with the art platform ARTN Edition. The collection draws inspiration from an inner “garden” where the artist’s emotions and memories quietly take bloom, offering a gentle expansion of everyday life into a space of feeling.

As an illustrator and art director, Jeong works across oil pastel, acrylic, objets, glass, and mixed materials to reinterpret nature, daily scenes, and emotional fragments through a poetic, fairytale-like lens. Her belief that “the most ordinary moments are often the most beautiful” manifests through her recurring characters—knights on horseback, princesses, cats, rabbits, birds, and flowers—each symbolizing small but resonant moments of comfort.

In the exhibition 〈The Timeless Garden〉, the boundaries between past and present, reality and fantasy melt into a single emotional landscape shaped as a garden. Soft color palettes, gentle strokes, and layered textures invite viewers into a drifting space where forgotten feelings resurface like blossoms. The interplay of real and imagined elements creates a narrative that resonates long after the moment of viewing.

The collaboration with ARTN Edition brings forth a hybrid print series, produced with the platform’s advanced techniques to faithfully preserve the tactile qualities of Jeong’s original works. The five limited-edition prints capture both the emotional richness and collectible value of her practice, reinterpreted as contemporary art objects.

Reflecting on the project, Jeong notes, “The garden is where memories, emotions, and imagined moments coexist. It is a space where time moves freely, and I hope to share that inner landscape with those who encounter my work.”

오일파스텔의 따뜻한 질감과 섬세한 감성을 바탕으로 독창적 시어를 구축해온 정재인 작가가 아트 플랫폼 아트앤에디션과 협업한 새로운 에디션 프로젝트 〈The Timeless Garden〉을 공개했다. 이번 프로젝트는 작가의 감정과 기억이 차곡차곡 쌓여 피어나는 ‘내면의 정원’을 모티프로 탄생했으며, 일상을 감성의 공간으로 확장시키는 정재인 작가의 예술 세계를 담아낸다.

일러스트레이터이자 아트 디렉터로 활동 중인 정재인 작가는 오일파스텔, 아크릴, 오브제, 유리 등 다양한 매체를 넘나들며 자연, 일상, 감정의 순간을 동화적 장면으로 재해석해왔다. 작가가 꾸준히 추구해온 “일상 속에서 발견되는 가장 아름다운 순간”이라는 메시지는 말 탄 기사, 공주, 고양이, 토끼, 새 등 상징적 캐릭터들을 통해 은유적으로 펼쳐진다.

전시 〈The Timeless Garden〉에서는 과거와 현재, 현실과 환상의 경계가 흐려진 감정의 시공간이 ‘정원’이라는 형태로 구현된다. 포근한 색조, 부드러운 터치, 풍부한 감정의 레이어가 관람객을 감성의 장면 속으로 이끈다. 작품 속 사물과 존재들은 실제와 상상을 넘나들며, 우리가 잊고 지냈던 감정의 잔향을 다시 깨우는 역할을 한다.

이번 협업 에디션은 아트앤에디션의 기술력을 기반으로 제작된 하이브리드 판화 시리즈로, 작가의 대표 장면들을 원화의 질감과 감성을 최대한 보존한 형태로 구현했다. 총 5종의 한정판 에디션은 감성과 컬렉션 가치를 동시에 갖춘 새로운 아트 오브제로 완성되었다. 정재인 작가는 이번 프로젝트에 대해 “정원은 기억과 감정, 그리고 상상의 시간이 공존하는 공간”이라며, 현실과 환상을 넘나드는 내면의 풍경을 관객과 나누고 싶다는 바람을 전했다.
