Alongside his solo exhibition 〈Run Donut Run〉 at Hakgojae Art Center, globally renowned “donut artist” Kim Jaeyong has unveiled his first official print edition in collaboration with the art platform ARTN Edition.

Kim transforms moments of personal challenge into works filled with humor, bold color, and shimmering crystal embellishments—an artistic language that has come to define his iconic ceramic donuts. This new collaboration features 100 limited-edition works, created by applying ARTN Edition’s patented matière technique and hand-adorned crystals added by the artist himself, resulting in art objects that balance experimental spirit with collectible value.

At Hakgojae, walls filled with vibrant donut works radiate messages of encouragement and resilience, offering visitors an uplifting and energetic experience.

Kim notes that he hopes his art becomes a “collective chorus,” and through this collaboration with ARTN Edition, he introduces a fresh and approachable way for audiences to engage with contemporary art.

학고재 아트센터 개인전 〈Run Donut Run〉과 함께, ‘도넛 작가’로 세계적 명성을 얻은 김재용 작가가 아트 플랫폼 아트앤에디션과 첫 공식 판화 에디션을 선보였다.

김재용 작가는 위기와 제약의 순간들을 유머와 대담한 색채, 반짝이는 크리스털 장식으로 승화해왔으며, 이러한 고유의 세계관은 세라믹 도넛을 상징으로 자리 잡았다. 이번 협업 에디션은 아트앤에디션의 특허 ‘마티에르’ 기법 위에 작가가 직접 크리스털을 더해 완성한 100점 한정판 작품으로, 실험성과 소장가치를 모두 갖춘 새로운 형태의 아트 오브제다.

전시가 진행 중인 학고재에서는 벽면을 가득 채운 도넛 작업이 응원과 용기의 메시지를 전하며 관람객에게 밝고 경쾌한 에너지를 전달하고 있다.

김재용 작가는 “예술이 함께 만들어가는 합창이 되길 바란다”며, 아트앤에디션과의 협업을 통해 대중과 더욱 친근하게 소통하는 새로운 예술 경험을 제안하고 있다.
