The solo exhibition “Recollection” by Park Kuhwan is presented at Hedwig Gallery from Jan 3 – Feb 25, 2023. Through poetic landscapes inspired by nature, hometown memories, and the sea, the artist explores themes of life, hope, and renewal. His compositions blend reality and imagination, depicting blooming trees, rhythmic fields, and tranquil coastal scenery that evoke personal memories and emotions. Combining multicolored woodblock printmaking with the rich colors of oil painting, Park creates distinctive textures and dreamlike atmospheres that reflect the vitality of nature. The exhibition invites viewers to rediscover the comforting presence of familiar landscapes and reflect on the possibilities of healing and restoration through memory and nature.
