The solo exhibition “A Way Home” by Hwang Kyu Baik is presented at Gana Art Hannam in Seoul from Jun 10 – Jun 28, 2020. 황규백 개인전 《A Way Home》은 서울 가나아트 한남에서 2020년 6월 10일부터 6월 28일까지 진행된다. 이번 전시는 전통적인 메조틴트 기법을 현대적으로 재해석한 판화와 신작 회화를 통해 기억과 시간, 평화의 의미를 탐구하는 작품들을 선보인다. 작가는 시계와 우산, 바위 등 일상적인 사물을 독특한 화면 구성으로 배치해 고요하고 몽상적인 분위기를 만들어내며, 익숙한 대상에 새로운 의미를 부여한다. 특히 2020년에 제작한 마지막 메조틴트 판화와 2018년 남북정상회담의 도보다리 회담 장면을 재해석한 작품을 통해 평화에 대한 염원을 전한다. 또한 20여 년 만에 다시 제작한 메조틴트 판화는 작가의 변함없는 예술적 탐구를 보여주며, 관람객에게 삶과 기억의 의미를 되돌아보는 시간을 선사한다.
