백남준 개인전 《Nam June Paik》은 서울 리안갤러리에서 2020년 12월 3일부터 2021년 1월 30일까지 진행된다. 이번 전시는 비디오 아트의 선구자인 백남준의 비디오 설치와 조각, 회화, 판화 등 다양한 매체의 작품을 통해 예술과 기술의 관계를 탐구하는 폭넓은 작품세계를 조명한다. 구형 TV 모니터와 네온을 결합한 《볼타》(1992)는 전자 시대의 도래를 예견한 작가의 실험적 시선을 보여주며, 《호랑이는 살아있다》(2000)는 한국의 역사와 민족적 정체성을 강인한 생명력의 상징인 호랑이에 투영한다. 또한 《진화, 혁명, 결의》(1989)를 비롯한 판화와 회화 작품에서는 문자와 이미지, 색채가 어우러지는 독창적인 조형 언어를 확인할 수 있다. 다양한 매체를 넘나드는 작품들은 기술과 예술의 경계를 확장해 온 백남준의 혁신적인 예술세계를 드러낸다.
