The invitational solo exhibition “East Side Story” by Kim Myung-Sik is presented at Haeundae Bada Gallery in Busan from Jun 20 – Jul 25, 2026. Featuring his signature East Side Story series alongside recent works from the Countryside series, the exhibition explores human relationships, cultural diversity, and the possibilities of harmony and coexistence. Inspired by houses glimpsed through a train window during his stay in New York, the artist transforms colorful houses into symbolic representations of people from different backgrounds living together. His recent Countryside paintings extend these ideas into natural landscapes through rich green tones and freer compositions. Together, the works convey enduring messages of peace, hope, and connection while highlighting the continued evolution of his artistic vision.
