The invitational solo exhibition “A Home Filled with Happiness” by Kim Myung-sik is presented at Chung Jark Gallery in Seoul from Mar 9 – Mar 23, 2023. Marking the artist's sixth solo exhibition at the gallery, the show explores the harmony between people, homes, and the memories of everyday life. Through simplified forms, restrained compositions, and vibrant colors, the artist depicts rows of red, yellow, blue, and white houses nestled beneath mountains and connected by winding paths. These familiar landscapes evoke the reassuring presence of family, the warmth of human relationships, and the journey of life. His lyrical paintings invite viewers to experience a sense of peace, nostalgia, and happiness through the quiet beauty of ordinary places.
