“Kraft und Poesie,” a solo exhibition by Eun Nim Ro, is presented at Gana Art Center and Gana Art Hannam in Seoul from Jul 19 – Aug 18, 2019. Exploring the themes of nature and life, the exhibition offers a comprehensive view of the artist's expressive and poetic visual language. Featuring large-scale paintings from the 1980s and 1990s, recent works, terracotta sculptures, and a documentary directed by Barbara Kusenberg, the exhibition highlights the breadth of Ro's artistic practice. Known for her spontaneous creative process, Ro works with brushes, brooms, and other everyday tools to produce dynamic compositions of simple lines, vivid colors, and bold gestures. Combining the contemplative spirit of Eastern painting with the expressive energy of European Expressionism, her works convey a profound appreciation for nature and the vitality of life. The exhibition invites viewers to experience the unique harmony of strength and poetry that defines her artistic world.
