Kim Bohie’s solo exhibition “TOWARDS: There Was Light” is presented at Gallery Hyundai in Seoul from Aug 26 – Oct 18, 2026. Marking her first solo exhibition in Korea since 2022 and her return to Gallery Hyundai after thirty-eight years, the exhibition traces more than four decades of the artist’s sustained engagement with nature through the theme of light. Approximately thirty works are on view, including new paintings from the Towards series depicting Jeju’s gardens and sea, flowers, fruits, and her dog Leo, alongside the monumental The Days (2022). Through layered pigments on canvas and hanji, Kim transforms prolonged observation, memory, and the passage of time into landscapes shaped by shifting light and color.

김보희 개인전 《TOWARDS: There Was Light》는 서울 갤러리현대에서 2026년 8월 26일부터 10월 18일까지 진행된다. 제주현대미술관에서 열린 《the Days》 이후 4년 만의 국내 개인전이자, 1988년 이후 38년 만에 갤러리현대에서 선보이는 개인전이다. 이번 전시는 지난 40여 년간 자연을 바라보고 회화로 옮겨 온 작가의 작업 세계를 ‘빛’을 중심으로 조명한다. 제주 정원과 바다, 꽃과 열매, 반려견 레오를 담은 <Towards> 연작의 신작과 대규모 회화 <The Days>(2022) 등 약 30점을 통해, 오랜 관찰과 기억 속에서 축적된 시간과 감각이 빛과 색으로 변화하며 하나의 풍경으로 다시 나타나는 과정을 보여준다.
