Nam Jonghyun’s photography exhibition “To My Beloved Form” is presented at Gallery STAIR from Mar 22 – Apr 21, 2024. In this exhibition, the artist turns his lens toward vintage chairs layered with traces of rest and Barbie dolls that once stood in for the dreams of many, bringing together two seemingly unfamiliar objects through his long-standing interest in distance and interval. Printed on hanji, the works convey the density of time through aged objects, tactile materiality, and compressed photographic imagery.

남종현 사진전 《사랑하는 나의 형 形》은 갤러리 스테어에서 2024년 3월 22일부터 4월 21일까지 진행된다. 이번 전시에서 작가는 휴식의 시간을 켜켜이 품은 빈티지 의자와 오랜 시간 누군가의 꿈을 대변해온 바비 인형을 피사체로 삼아, 서로 다른 오브제가 지닌 시간의 결을 하나의 화면 안에 담아낸다. 한지에 인화한 사진 작업은 작가가 꾸준히 주목해온 ‘간격’을 시간의 두께로 드러내며, 익숙하면서도 낯선 조합 속에서 압축된 감각과 정서를 보여준다.
