Dorossy Salon presents “Beyond the Universe,” a solo exhibition by Seong Tae Jin from Apr 11 – Apr 27, 2025. The exhibition brings together works from the artist’s “Beyond the Universe” series, inspired by the star-filled night skies of Gapyeong and his long-standing fascination with the universe. Carved and painted on woodblocks, Seong Tae Jin’s works intertwine childhood memories of Taekwon V, Star Wars, and the arcade game Galaga with reflections on the vast and unknown cosmos. Through imagination, nostalgia, and subtle philosophical inquiry, the exhibition invites viewers to contemplate where we come from and where we are heading.

도로시 살롱은 성태진 개인전 《Beyond the Universe 우주 너머》를 2025년 4월 11일 – 4월 27일 기간에 개최한다. 이번 전시는 작가가 오랫동안 관심을 가져온 ‘우주’를 주제로 한 연작을 한자리에 모아 선보이는 자리로, 가평에서 마주한 별빛 가득한 밤하늘에서 받은 영감을 바탕으로 구성되었다. 목판에 조각도로 새기고 채색하는 기법으로 완성된 작품에는 태권브이, 스타워즈, 갤러그 등 어린 시절의 기억과 상상이 담겨 있다. 별빛이 반짝이는 밤하늘과 그 안에 숨겨진 별자리를 통해 관람객은 추억과 상상, 그리고 인간과 우주의 기원에 대한 사유의 시간을 경험하게 된다.
