ATELIER AKI presents Kappao’s solo exhibition “Treasuring the precious moments,” on view from Aug 6 – Sep 5, 2020. Known for her distinctive ceramic practice, the artist works with the materiality of clay and the sensitivity of touch to shape everyday observations into sculptural objects. Expanding beyond conventional ceramic forms, she explores the expressive potential of clay through experimental object-based structures. Through her warm and personal visual language, Kappao portrays the expressions and psychological states of contemporary individuals. Held two years after her previous solo exhibition, this show reflects on everyday relationships and communication, inviting viewers to rediscover the quiet preciousness embedded in ordinary life.

갑빠오 개인전 《소중한 것을 소중하게》는 ATELIER AKI에서 2020년 8월 6일부터 9월 5일까지 진행된다. 흙의 물성과 손끝의 감각을 중시하는 작가는 일상에서 관찰한 사람들의 표정과 몸짓을 오브제로 구현하며, 도예의 전통적 형식에 머무르지 않고 다양한 형태를 실험적으로 빚어낸다. 작가 특유의 따뜻한 시선은 외롭고 미성숙한 현대인의 심리를 담아내며, 이번 전시는 일상 속에서 스쳐 지나가는 ‘관계’와 ‘소통’에 대한 단상을 조용히 풀어낸다. 순수하고 낙천적인 형태, 서정적인 색채, 그리고 짤막한 메시지는 사람 사이의 교감과 안도감, 소소한 기쁨을 환기한다.
