Gallery Belle Vie presents Sim Bongmin’s solo exhibition “Memories Gathered Here,” on view in Seoul from Dec 7 – Dec 27, 2024. The artist’s paintings fill the space with a surreal yet beautiful garden, where a small child and a gardener appear alongside playful scenes—such as rolling a hoop, flying a jump rope, or listening quietly with a white dog named “Darongi.” As viewers follow these images, the works invite a gentle return to the sensations of childhood and the scattered memories we may have forgotten.

심봉민 작가의 화면은 초현실적인 아름다운 정원으로 채워지며, 그 안에는 늘 작은 꼬마와 정원사가 등장한다. 꼬마는 굴렁쇠를 굴리거나 고무동력기를 날리고, 하얀색 강아지 ‘다롱이’와 함께 발판을 내딛기도 한다. 작품을 따라가다 보면 관람자는 어느새 정원 속으로 들어가 어린 시절의 놀이와 감각을 함께 마주하게 된다. 갤러리벨비는 심봉민 작가의 세 번째 개인전 《여기 모여 던져진 기억들》을 2024년 12월 7일부터 12월 27일까지 개최한다.
