The solo exhibition “Like Butterfly” by Soon-cheol Kim is presented at OMAE Gallery in Seoul from Apr 22 – May 17, 2025. In this exhibition, Kim presents her Butterfly series, expanding upon her earlier Flower series through the symbolic pairing of flowers and butterflies. Employing her signature technique, Hoesu—a fusion of painting and embroidery on traditional Korean hanji—she explores the interplay between materiality and emotion, tradition and modernity, presence and absence.

김순철 개인전 《Like Butterfly》는 서울 오매갤러리에서 2025년 4월 22일부터 5월 17일까지 진행된다. 작가는 한지 위에 채색과 바느질을 결합한 ‘회수(Hoesu)’ 기법을 통해 회화와 수공예, 평면과 입체, 직관과 노동 사이의 긴장을 섬세하게 드러낸다. 이번 전시에서 선보이는 나비 연작은 정적인 꽃과 유동적인 나비를 한 화면에 병치하며, 존재와 부재, 덧없음과 생명력, 그리고 순환의 감각을 시적으로 풀어낸다.
