The jars and vessels that appear in his paintings are not merely objects, but presences reinterpreted as holding loss, longing, and love. The process of clay emerging from the earth and gaining form through water, wind, and fire mirrors the fractures and healing of life, as well as its return to nature. Upon a soft milky-white ground, the artist renders white porcelain and layers blue and red pigments to depict stones, trees, flowers, and butterflies, filling the emptied interior with the breath of nature.
