송은영은 세종대학교 회화과를 졸업하고 프랑스 베르사이유미술학교 조형예술과에서 사진과 회화를 함께 전공하였다. 이후 프랑스 빵데옹 소르본느 빠리 1대학 조형예술학과에서 학사와 석사과정을 다시 밟았다.

1999년 프랑스 파리의 국제예술공간 아드작미술관에서 첫 개인전을 시작으로 최근까지 여러 차례의 개인전을 가졌다. 2005년 문예진흥기금지원 신진작가에 선정되었고 국립 현대미술관, 서울 시립미술관, 제주 현대미술관 등 국공립 미술기관에 작품이 소장되어 있다. 국내 단체기획전 외에도 스위스 바젤, 싱가포르, 호주 등에서 활발한 전시 경력을 갖고 있다.

송은영은 앞에 놓여 있는 사물과 뒤에 있는 사물이 동등하게 보이도록 원근법을 교묘하게 교란한 이미지를 화면에 담는다. 사물과 실내외 풍경을 유화로 그리고 있는데 자신의 그림은 일루젼과 존재, 기억의 관계를 시각화하는 작업이라고 말한다.

Song Eun Young graduated from the Department of Painting at Sejong University and studied both photography and painting at the Department of Plastic Arts at the École des Beaux-Arts de Versailles in France. She later completed both her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Plastic Arts at Panthéon-Sorbonne University (Paris 1).

Beginning with her first solo exhibition in 1999 at the international art space A-dzag Gallery in Paris, she has held numerous solo exhibitions up to the present. In 2005, she was selected as an emerging artist supported by the Arts Council Korea, and her works are held in public collections including the National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art, the Seoul Museum of Art, and the Jeju Museum of Contemporary Art. In addition to curated group exhibitions in Korea, she has an active exhibition history in cities such as Basel in Switzerland, Singapore, and Australia.

Song Eun Young captures images that subtly disrupt conventional perspective so that objects placed in the foreground and background appear with equal visual weight. She paints objects and interior and exterior landscapes in oil, describing her work as a practice that visualizes the relationship between illusion, existence, and memory.
