김인혜는 회화를 기반으로 사회적 관계 속에서 발생하는 다양한 감각의 긴장을 관찰하며, 이를 주제로 얼굴을 그리는 작가이다. 그는 매일 새롭게 마주하는 타인을 감각하며, 얼굴 너머에 존재하는 미묘한 아우라와 정서를 포착한다.

작가는 ‘관계’가 삶의 전제조건이자 동시에 고통의 일부임에도 불구하고, 그것을 유지하기 위해 감내하는 서투른 몸짓과 내밀한 시선을 담담한 태도로 캔버스 위에 옮긴다. 그의 인물들은 특정한 서사를 드러내기보다, 관계 속에서 흔들리는 감정의 잔향을 고요하게 머금고 있다.

김인혜는 동덕여자대학교 회화과에서 학사와 석사 과정을 마친 서양화가로, <아무 일도 일어나지 않아>(2023, TYA), <Face to Sunset>(2021, 청라블루노바홀), <Below the Surface>(2014, 갤러리 토픽), <아무도 모른다.>(2013, 동덕아트갤러리) 등 다수의 개인전을 개최했다. 인천서구문화재단 예술인 전시지원공모(2021), 아트센터 예술의 시간 신진작가 전시지원공모(2021), 해외 이종교배 프로젝트 지원(2017) 등에 선정되었으며, 작품은 국립현대미술관 정부미술은행과 동덕여자대학교 박물관 등에 소장되어 있다.

Kim In Hye is a painter whose practice focuses on observing the tension of various senses within social relationships, expressed through the depiction of faces. Encountering new individuals each day, she sensitively captures the aura that exists beyond the visible surface of the face.

Although relationships are both a prerequisite for life and a source of pain, Kim quietly portrays the awkward gestures and intimate gazes required to sustain them. Rather than narrating explicit stories, her figures embody subtle emotional residues that emerge from human connections.

Kim earned her BFA and MFA in Painting from Dongduk Women’s University and is actively working as a contemporary painter. Her solo exhibitions include <Nothing Happens> (2023, TYA), <Face to Sunset> (2021, Cheongna Blue Nova Hall), <Below the Surface> (2014, Gallery Topic), and <Nobody Knows.> (2013, Dongduk Art Gallery). She has been selected for several art support programs, including the Incheon Seo-gu Cultural Foundation Exhibition Support (2021), Art Center ArtisTime Emerging Artist Program (2021), and the Overseas Hybridization Project (2017). Her works are part of the collections of the National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art Art Bank and the Dongduk Women’s University Museum.
