그래피티 아티스트 범민(BFMIN)은 국민대학교 도자공예과를 졸업한 후 작업 영역을 확장하며 활발한 활동을 이어가고 있다. 불가리, 티파니, 까르띠에 등 명품 브랜드를 비롯해 서태지, 에미넴, 지드래곤 등 국내외 유명 아티스트, 대기업과의 협업을 통해 젊은 층의 큰 호응을 얻는 그래피티 그래픽 아트워크 작가로 자리매김했다.

그는 페인팅을 중심으로 미디어, 팝 아트, 설치, 패션 등 장르의 경계를 넘나들며 자유로운 작업을 전개한다. 활동명 BF MIN(태그네임 ButterFly Min)은 ‘새가 직선으로 날아가는 것과 달리 나비는 불규칙하게 팔랑이며 날아간다’는 데서 착안한 이름으로, 나비의 비행 궤적처럼 자유롭고 남다른 삶과 예술을 지향한다는 의미를 담고 있다.

BFMIN (Beom Min) is a graffiti artist who graduated from the Department of Ceramic Art at Kookmin University and has since expanded his practice across multiple creative fields. He has collaborated with luxury brands such as Bulgari, Tiffany & Co., and Cartier, as well as globally renowned artists including Seo Taiji, Eminem, and G-Dragon, establishing himself as a graffiti graphic artist widely embraced by younger audiences.

Working freely across painting, media, pop art, installation, and fashion, BFMIN transcends conventional genre boundaries. His tag name, ButterFly Min, is inspired by the idea that while birds fly in straight lines, butterflies flutter unpredictably—reflecting his desire to live and create art with freedom and individuality, much like the unique trajectory of a butterfly’s flight.

His signature character “Hello Man” is rooted in childhood memories, evoking the excitement and warmth of waving and calling out “hello” to a friend in the distance. In a rapidly changing world where emotional distance grows and sincerity fades, the character conveys the idea that exchanging greetings is the moment when strangers become friends.
