08AM has long centered his practice on the question of “what originality truly means,” continuously researching ways to translate intangible thought into visual language. As concepts formed in the mind are deconstructed into points, lines, and planes and then recombined, distinctive forms emerge. Through this process, the artist has come to feel closer to his own philosophy of creation.

The concept discovered through this journey is “Ether.” It is an image of minute particles that disperse and gather like smoke to form new shapes, and at the same time a source of creation born from the residue left after the artist has burned himself out. By constructing this Ether three-dimensionally within a flat surface, 08AM affirms his existence as an artist while visualizing messages about contemporary society.
